Our Mission
Studio Mems is an independent design studio founded and based in the Netherlands, where every pillow is handmade in limited editions.
Working in small batches allows the studio to focus on craftsmanship while continuously developing new characters, colours, and collections. Alongside its independent collections, Studio Mems collaborates with brands to explore new materials, techniques, and uses for its designs.
The studio
Founder and designer Dorith Kool is inspired by the fusion of function and art, and the mundane rituals of everyday life. Drawing inspiration from postmodern architecture, contemporary art, and furniture design, she creates statement pillows that celebrate ordinary moments, inviting a more playful way of living.
