Where the story begins

Studio Mems began in a sunlit 1910s home filled with an eclectic mix of vintage pieces, each with its own story. Except for one: a couch that looked beautiful but felt empty. This contrast sparked the question: what if everyday objects had character?

Believing that interiors should express more than function, Dorith began transforming the conventional square pillow into bold statement pieces that shift the feeling of a space. This became Studio Mems.

Today, our work is a response to mass-produced, impersonal decor and the dominance of minimalism, reintroducing objects with personalty and fun into contemporary interiors. Each pillow has its own character, adding a story to the space it inhabits.
