“I’m obsessed with both the intersection of art and functionality and of furniture and identity. My work started as a personal exploration of the desire to express myself in my personal spaces. We spend so much of our lives shrinking ourselves to fit into boxes, to stay neutral, quiet, minimal, beige. I wanted to create something expressive that took up space and caught attention as an extension of ourselves, our style, desires, stories. Art that became part of our daily lives instead of being admired from a distance. Every piece feels like a friend that invites us to take up space, and be unapologetically who we are, not a copy of everyone else.”
